Create PDF File for Free? Yes you can Create PDFs for Free

Being able to create a PDF file can come in very handy. If you can create a PDF file you can create your own e-books, you can edit PLR e-books, you can scan and save or email documents in a the standard PDF format, and more.

If you have money to burn you can buy the Adobe software to create PDF files, but if you like to save money you can get all the features you need and probably all you could ever want for free.

You may have heard of Open Office (officially called OpenOffice.org) and you may have even used this free office software suite. But, did you know that you can easily create PDF files with it?

You just create or load your document into Write (word processor) and go to the file menu and choose export as PDF. You then can set the amount of compression so you can control the file size and you can adjust some other parameters as needed.

There are other ways to crate a PDF file for free, but this is the only free PDF creator I know of that preserves links in the PDF file. Preserving the links is particularly important if you are creating e-books.
